The 2020 Edition of Doody’s Core Titles® (DCT) has been released, and Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc. has announced that this essential resource is now integrated across Rittenhouse.com and R2Library.com. The DCT health sciences list and collection development tools from Rittenhouse are now available for free to Rittenhouse partners.
DCT is released annually by Doody Enterprises, Inc. with the support and the expertise of almost 200 medial librarians and content experts. DCT recognises excellence in clinical and educational books across more than 121 health sciences subject areas. Rittenhouse makes this list and its data available to academic library and hospital partners on both Rittenhouse.com and R2Library.com, in addition to using this DCT data to create unique collection development tools such as the Doody’s Core Titles Update.
In addition to DCT tools available on Rittenhouse.com for print products, Rittenhouse also offers a list of DCT titles that are available for purchase on its eBook database, the R2 Digital Library. With 573 DCT eBook titles available, the R2 Digital Library consists one of the most extensive selections available for institutional acquisition for digital collections.
Health sciences librarians rely on DCT as a key collection development tool. Rittenhouse is committed to providing academic and hospital partners a combination of DCT and online tools to provide valuable support for their collection development needs.
Interested parties may visit Rittenhouse.com or R2Library.com to access the new 2020 Doody’s Core Titles® list, and utilise Rittenhouse’s collection development tools.
