The American Institute of Physics and its member societies are offering a virtual scientific experience at the SciFest All Access showcase, an all-ages virtual STEM expo, from Sept. 26 to Oct. 3, globally accessible at any time.
The free event is this year’s alternative to the biennial USA Science & Engineering Festival, which was scheduled for April but was cancelled in favour of an online event due to COVID-19 concerns. SciFest All Access will include hands-on and interactive STEM content and live shows for students, families, and educators.
AIP’s booth, ‘The AIP Science Circus,’ features materials from the Acoustical Society of America, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, the American Physical Society, the Optical Society, and the Society of Rheology as well as AIP itself. The booth provides a wide range of activities, from science colouring books to online wave simulators and everything in between.
One of the videos in the AIP Science Circus will be a part of a scavenger hunt across the event designed to encourage students to engage with the various facets of STEM.
SciFest All Access is a free event, but attendees must register in advance. Registration and other information can be found at https://usasciencefestival.org/scifest/.
