zbMATH now becomes open access platform -

With its funding decision, the Joint Science Conference of the Federal Government and the Länder initiated the zbMATH Open in 2019. In a complex work process, now the information service was transferred to an open access platform. This means that much of the data can be freely used for research purposes and for linking to other non-commercial services.

zbMATH - formerly Zentralblatt für Mathematik - offers comprehensive, scientifically in-depth information on mathematical publications, authors, references and software without gaps dating back to 1886. The reusability of this wealth of knowledge and the networking of the associated data were restricted by the previous license model. Now the new platform zbMATH Open enables the integration of other services and even better search functions. for example, for full texts from free digital libraries such as arXiv and EuDML. Another dimension of new applications is the link with mathematical research data that has so far been largely isolated and little developed.

More information can be found at the zbMATH Open product website (zbmath.org).
