The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has announced that Plant Phenomics, the second journal launched as part of the Science Partner Journal (SPJ) program, has been accepted for inclusion in Web of Science: Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). The journal is expected to receive its first Journal Impact Factor in the June 2022 release of the Journal Citation Reports.
Inclusion in SCIE is the latest milestone for the journal, which is also indexed in CABI, CNKI, DOAJ, PMC and Scopus. SCIE evaluates a journal’s quality and influence before carefully selecting titles for inclusion, a recognition of Plant Phenomics’ rigor and commitment to impactful research. Published in affiliation with the State Key Laboratory of Crop Genetics & Germplasm Enhancement, Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) and distributed by AAAS, Plant Phenomics was launched in 2019.
The journal publishes novel research advancing all aspects of plant phenotyping from the cell to plant population levels using innovative combinations of sensor systems and data analytics, with the aim to also connect phenomics to other science domains, such as genomics, genetics, physiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, and computer sciences. As a continuation of AAAS' commitment to advance science throughout the world, the journal's content is published Open Access under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), on a continuous basis.
As with all titles participating in the Science Partner Journal program, Plant Phenomics is editorially independent and responsible for the content published in the journal. AAAS is actively seeking new partners across scientific disciplines to join the program, which features English-language publications. Partner organizations are responsible for establishing editorial boards committed to best practices in peer review and author service.
