Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) has announced the appointment of Dr. Fanie Pelletier as FACETS’s new Co-Editor-in-Chief, joining founding Editor-in-Chief Dr. Jules Blais.
Dr. Fanie Pelletier is a Professor in the Department of Biology, Université de Sherbrooke, and a member of the College of the Royal Society of Canada. Dr. Pelletier is the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious NSERC E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship for early researchers in Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on the evolutionary ecology of vertebrates including life-history evolution, reproductive strategies, and population dynamics. Dr. Pelletier’s multifaceted approach to evolutionary and ecological research provides valuable insight regarding co-evolutionary dynamics and the impacts of human activities that affect wild populations. She is also a member of the terrestrial mammals specialist subcommittee for the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC).
As Canada’s first and only multidisciplinary open access science journal, FACETS is committed to the continual development of science and dissemination of knowledge. Dr. Pelletier’s years of experience, expertise, and dedication to the advancement of science exemplifies this vision.
