Registration for the NISO Plus Forum is now open -

NISO Plus Forum — the new, in-person event will provide a bridge between the annual, fully online NISO Plus conferences. With thanks to the American Geophysical Union for their support, this year’s conference will be held at the AGU headquarters in Washington, DC, on September 20, 2022 — the day before SSP's annual New Directions seminar at the same venue on September 21-22, to minimise travel for those of you planning to attend.

The theme of this year’s Forum is Metadata: Structures, Exchange, Identifiers — a chance to continue some of the many conversations on this topic at the last conference and connect them to the next one in concrete and meaningful ways. It’s intended for information professionals interested in metadata across all functions and organisation types, who have the seniority and functional expertise to understand the challenges and opportunities for both their organisation and the wider community. The focus will be primarily on practical work in small groups to help shape the focus of the NISO Plus conference and NISO's standards development priorities more generally—a great opportunity to share your perspectives with a diverse group of colleagues from across the information community and to understand theirs better.

The support of sponsors Access Innovations, Silverchair, and AGU, has enabled us to keep the registration cost to $199 for members and $249 for non-members. More details on sponsorship opportunities are available on the NISO Plus website.

Because of the interactive nature of this event, registrations will be strictly limited to 100 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis, and organisations can reserve a maximum of three tickets each initially. Organizations can also choose to support the SSP Generations Fund by purchasing a ticket for a fundraising event taking place on AGU's rooftop terrace immediately after the NISO Plus Forum. Please see the registration page for details.
