The Bibsam Consortium has signed a Read & Publish agreement covering all seven of the Biochemical Society’s journals, supporting authors at participating institutions to publish open access (OA) across the full breadth of the molecular biosciences.
The agreement enables affiliated corresponding authors at participating Swedish institutions to publish an unlimited number of articles, fee-free, and OA, in addition to providing full read access to their current portfolio.
The Karolinska Institute, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Lund University, Umeå University, and Uppsala University join more than 200 institutions around the world currently signed up to the Read & Publish offering. The Bibsam agreement enables more Swedish institutions to opt-in during 2023.
The agreement represents another important step in the Society’s transition to full OA publishing, supporting the shared mission of like-minded research institutions and not-for-profit publishers to accelerate the shift towards the sustainable and open dissemination of research on a global scale.
