Karger and CzechELib extend their unlimited transformative agreement for 5 more years -

CzechELib consortium and Karger Publishers have renewed their partnership for another five years, demonstrating their commitment to a sustainable Open Access transition. The unlimited Transformative Agreement started in 2020 and allows researchers from participating institutions to publish Open Access (OA) in all of Karger’s journals without incurring Article Processing Charges (APCs). It also ensures continuous access to all of Karger’s journal portfolio.

The extended agreement demonstrates the parties’ continuous support and commitment to the advancement of Open Science and a sustainable OA transition. It will enable the researchers at the institutions covered by the deal to benefit from better visibility and wider dissemination of their research by publishing OA. Authors can find out more about the publication workflow in Karger’s journals under this agreement on the Karger website.

The CzechELib consortium is made up of academic libraries in the Czech Republic and represents over 60 institutions. Karger Publishers is a leading biomedical publisher of international scientific and medical journals. With this renewed partnership, Czech researchers will be able to access Karger's vast journal portfolio and publish their research articles openly and free of charge, furthering the progress of Open Science.
