The Company of Biologists and the Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC) Consortium have entered into an exciting new Read & Publish Open Access agreement for 2023. This agreement brings significant benefits to corresponding authors from participating JULAC institutions in Hong Kong.
Under the agreement, researchers from JULAC institutions can publish an unlimited number of research articles as Open Access in The Company of Biologists' hybrid journals, including Development, Journal of Cell Science, and Journal of Experimental Biology, as well as in their fully Open Access journals, Disease Models & Mechanisms and Biology Open. There will be no article processing charges (APCs) for these publications. In addition, researchers from these institutions will enjoy unlimited access to the hybrid journals, including their complete archives dating back to 1853.
The partnership between The Company of Biologists and the JULAC Consortium is a significant step forward in advancing Open Access publishing and facilitating greater access to research in the field of biology. It represents a collaborative effort to support researchers in Hong Kong and contribute to the growth of Open Access initiatives.
