The Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) is pleased to announce the call for proposals for "Poster Lightning Talks" at the upcoming 2023 OASPA Online Conference. This highly anticipated annual event brings together the open access community to explore the latest developments and innovations in scholarly publishing, with a shared goal of ensuring global accessibility to research.
The 2023 online conference aims to foster equitable open scholarship and will delve into a range of timely and essential topics related to open scholarly communication. Taking place from September 19th to 21st, the virtual format ensures broad participation and enables attendees from around the world to engage in collective reflection on efforts to make scholarship open and accessible to all.
Organizations and individuals are invited to submit proposals for "Poster Lightning Talk" presentations, which consist of short talks accompanied by a poster showcasing new projects, ideas, or initiatives. Guidelines for poster creation will be provided to selected presenters.
One of the key objectives of the conference is to encourage participation from regions beyond North America and Europe, promoting diversity and inclusivity within the open access community. OASPA encourages all interested parties to widely share this call for proposals within their networks to ensure a diverse range of submissions.
To submit a proposal, interested parties should complete the submission form available on the OASPA website by June 26, 2023. The form requires a brief description of the proposal, limited to a strict maximum count of 250 words. Successful proposal authors will have their conference registration costs waived as a token of appreciation.
