The AANA Journal stands as AANA's sole peer-reviewed publication, with a rigorous double-blinded, peer review process. The journal's Editorial Panel, comprised of over 45 anesthesiology professionals from the United States and other nations, plays a critical role in the content critique integral to the review process.
Ladan Eshkevari currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Avesta Alternative Care and is a Professor Emeritus at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Her impressive achievements and contributions to the field of nurse anesthesia have earned her numerous accolades, including induction as a Fellow in the prestigious National Academy of Nursing. Notably, she was named Star Nurse 2020 in The Washington Post, in collaboration with the American Nurses Association, and received the John Garde Researcher of the Year award in 2014 and the Program Director of the Year Award from AANA in 2022.
In her new role, Eshkevari aims to provide valuable clinical information that advances the understanding of anesthesia delivery science and explore innovative ideas and issues that contribute to the advancement of nurse anesthesia practice.
With Ladan Eshkevari's expertise and dedication, The AANA Journal is expected to continue serving as a pioneering source of research and knowledge, supporting the growth and progress of nurse anesthesia within the healthcare community.
