Sola Adesope named co editor of Educational Researcher -

A faculty member and administrator in Washington State University’s College of Education has been appointed as a co-editor of Educational Researcher, the premier peer-reviewed journal from the American Educational Research Association (AERA).

Boeing Distinguished Professor of STEM Education Sola Adesope, also the college’s associate dean for research & external funding, will join three others as part of the new editor team, with a 2024–2026 term. AERA has roughly 25,000 members consisting of educational researchers around the world. Since all its members receive the journal, Adesope said it’s prominent in rethinking research, policy, and practice in education.

According to Adesope, the publication’s five-year impact factor of 7.217 proves its significance to the academic community, and he is appreciative of the opportunity to serve on it.

The term officially begins October 1, 2023, and the editors will start receiving new manuscripts.
