LibQUAL+ library customer satisfaction survey 2024 registration opens up for libraries worldwide -

The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has announced the commencement of registration for the 2024 edition of the LibQUAL+ library customer satisfaction survey. This robust tool has been a cornerstone in assessing library user satisfaction for over two decades, offering libraries an invaluable avenue to gauge user needs and levels of contentment. As registration opens, institutions across the globe are invited to leverage LibQUAL+ to elevate their user engagement and enhance their library services.

With its rich history spanning more than 20 years, LibQUAL+ has emerged as a trusted ally for libraries seeking to comprehend the expectations and sentiments of their users. The survey empowers libraries by providing access to raw data and user comments, which in turn aids in pinpointing areas of focus, achievements, and areas of concern. This comprehensive insight is invaluable for both new and repeat users of the tool.

New participants embarking on their LibQUAL+ journey can benchmark their progress against peer institutions, while repeat users can measure progress over time and evaluate the impact of changes implemented since their previous survey. Over the years, LibQUAL+ has grown into a global phenomenon, with nearly 1,400 libraries across 37 countries participating, generating over 3 million responses from engaged users.

The survey's scope is far-reaching, equipping libraries with the resources to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation, identify shortcomings, and celebrate best practices. LibQUAL+ offers a holistic view of user perceptions, encompassing everything from customer treatment and staff performance to accessibility of information resources and the library's physical environment. Through this lens, libraries can assess the alignment of their services with user expectations, and fine-tune their offerings accordingly.

Registration for the 2024 LibQUAL+ survey is currently open, enabling institutions to implement the survey during the two dedicated sessions in the upcoming year: Session I: January 15–May 31, 2024; and Session II: July 1–December 9, 2024.

New participants eager to embark on this transformative journey can register by contacting libqual@arl.org. This marks a significant opportunity for libraries to harness the power of data-driven

insights and foster a more enriching user experience, propelling their services to new heights of excellence.
