Andrew Kinney joins MIT Press as senior acquisitions Editor in Physical Sciences, Math, and Engineering -

The MIT Press has announced the appointment of Andrew Kinney as its new Senior Acquisitions Editor in Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering. Kinney brings a wealth of experience from his role at Harvard University Press and is set to further enhance MIT Press's legacy of publishing groundbreaking scholarship in the fields of physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, and beyond.

At the MIT Press, Andrew Kinney will take charge of a renowned trade science program and an impressive backlist of titles. In his new role, effective October 2, Kinney will continue MIT Press's tradition of producing influential trade books, research monographs, and textbooks that explore a wide array of subjects, including physics, astronomy, chemistry, materials science, mathematics, statistics, and engineering.

During his tenure at Harvard University Press, Andrew Kinney served as General Editor, where he curated a diverse and noteworthy list of publications spanning the sciences and social sciences. His impressive portfolio includes publications such as Nicole Fleetwood's "Marking Time" (winner of a National Book Critics' Circle Award), Viet Thanh Nguyen's "Nothing Ever Dies" (a finalist for the National Book Award and a National Book Critics' Circle Award), and Michael Tomasello's "Becoming Human" (recipient of the William James Book Award from the American Psychological Association).
