Michigan State University Libraries and Taylor & Francis forge open access partnership -

In a move to bolster open access to scholarly research, Michigan State University (MSU) Libraries has announced a transformative partnership with academic publisher Taylor & Francis. This agreement enables MSU researchers to publish open access articles in 2,500 Taylor & Francis and Routledge journals without incurring any publication fees.

The three-year read-and-publish agreement not only ensures continued access to all Taylor & Francis journals for MSU faculty and students but also empowers researchers to opt for open access publication in both hybrid and full OA titles. This initiative aligns with MSU Libraries' mission to promote equal access to information and foster community-engaged scholarship.

Taylor & Francis's open access program encompasses over 300 fully OA journals, more than 2,490 Open Select (hybrid) journals, 1,700+ OA books, and various F1000 open research platforms. This partnership underscores MSU's dedication to fostering open research practices and expanding the global reach of its scholarly output.

MSU joins over 700 institutions worldwide in partnering with Taylor & Francis through transformative agreements, further solidifying a shared vision of promoting open access to research. The agreement reflects the diverse priorities of research communities and underscores the importance of collaboration in advancing knowledge dissemination.
