PeerJ, the award-winning Open Access publisher, has announced a new partnership with Agorà, the Scientific Society of Aesthetic Medicine, to launch the Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine Hub. This initiative aims to advance the fields of aesthetic and regenerative medicine by providing a collaborative environment for cutting-edge research with practical applications.
Agorà, renowned for its leadership in aesthetic medical education and research, joins forces with PeerJ to create a dynamic platform that combines research articles published in PeerJ Life & Environment with an array of tools and programs. This collaboration aims to support and develop a vibrant research community dedicated to aesthetic and regenerative medicine.
The Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine Hub is open to any researcher interested in these fields. Members can join the Hub Community and submit their research, benefiting from the collaborative environment. Additionally, joining Agorà offers extra benefits, both within the Hub and as part of a growing international society.
The launch of the Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine Hub marks the introduction of PeerJ's second Hub, following the success of the IABO Hub created in collaboration with the International Association for Biological Oceanography. The third PeerJ Hub is scheduled to launch in October.
PeerJ Hubs represent a new vision for society and association publishing. Built on PeerJ’s existing infrastructure and journal portfolio, Hubs provide a submission portal for partner societies and research associations. Editorial guidance and oversight are provided by members of these societies, while PeerJ manages the peer review process. Articles are published in PeerJ’s existing portfolio, ensuring immediate access to high-quality, indexed journals with established reputations and metrics.
PeerJ welcomes discussions with other scholarly societies and associations interested in launching their own Hub. Potential partners can choose from a range of editorial and benefit models, including discounted article processing charges (APCs) for their members and a unique cooperative model based on PeerJ’s Tokens program.
