While most conference organizers and authors adhere to high ethical standards, the publisher acknowledged that the evolving nature of publishing malpractice poses significant challenges. Current detection tools and workflows have proven insufficient to identify all forms of misconduct. In response, EDP Sciences is dedicating resources to developing and implementing advanced solutions aimed at preventing future ethical violations.
The company emphasized that any confirmed instances of malpractice would be met with decisive action. Despite the temporary suspension, EDP Sciences expressed gratitude to the many honest contributors who uphold rigorous ethical practices. Updates will be provided as new tools and processes are rolled out to reinforce integrity in conference proceedings.
