International Alliance for Primary Immunodeficiency Societies partners with Rockefeller University Press to launch Journal of Human Immunity -

The International Alliance for Primary Immunodeficiency Societies (IAPIDS) has announced a collaboration with Rockefeller University Press (RUP) to launch the Journal of Human Immunity (JHI), an open access journal dedicated to advancing research on human immunity with a focus on inborn errors of immunity.

The new journal will serve as the official publication of IAPIDS, which comprises core member societies such as the African Society for Immunodeficiencies (ASID), Asia Pacific Society for Immunodeficiencies (APSID), Clinical Immunology Society (CIS), European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID), and the Latin American Society for Immunodeficiencies (LASID).

Representatives from IAPIDS emphasized the journal's alignment with their mission to promote collaboration and innovation within the immunology field. The creation of JHI reflects a collective need for a dedicated platform to shape the future of research in human immunity.

The journal will be led by Editor-in-Chief Dr. Jean-Laurent Casanova, a distinguished expert in immunology and the Levy Family Professor at The Rockefeller University. Dr. Casanova highlighted JHI's commitment to leveraging a world-class editorial team and fostering international collaboration to attract high-quality submissions.

JHI will publish a range of content, including original research, reviews, letters, editorials, and commentaries. Its scope will cover a broad spectrum of topics related to inborn errors of immunity, such as infections, autoimmunity, autoinflammation, malignancies, and allergies.

To promote global knowledge sharing, JHI will adopt an open access publishing model, ensuring all articles are freely available to readers worldwide. Article processing charges (APCs) will be competitively priced, with discounts for IAPIDS society members and full waivers for corresponding authors from lower- and middle-income countries. This approach aligns with JHI's mission to reduce barriers to scientific dissemination and foster inclusivity.

JHI is set to publish its first articles in spring 2025. This launch marks a significant milestone in immunology research, providing a new, accessible platform for the scientific community and practicing clinicians worldwide.
