Since 2018, he played a pivotal role in the development of Amboss, a medical knowledge platform, before most recently serving as CTO for Morressier, a publishing platform focused on advancing academic research. His expertise in driving technological growth and leveraging AI to enhance the publishing landscape aligns perfectly with Thieme’s objectives.
Weber’s career began as a freelance software developer and consultant, where he collaborated with major clients such as SAP and Holiday Check. In 2013, he founded his first start-up, which was later successfully sold. His leadership at Amboss and Morressier has shaped his ability to spearhead technological advancements in the healthcare and publishing sectors.
At Thieme, Weber will oversee the company’s digital transformation, ensuring it evolves into a more agile and digitally-focused healthcare provider. With a strong emphasis on technology, he will lead initiatives to enhance Thieme’s portfolio of services and products, all while focusing on improving healthcare outcomes globally.
