Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), a leader in advancing copyright and powering innovation, will host a virtual town hall titled "Bridging Innovation and Integrity: A Discussion of Responsible AI Practices" on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:00 am EST (4:00 pm CET). The event, streamed via LinkedIn Live, will feature a conversation on AI governance and compliance with industry experts Oliver Patel, AI Governance Lead at AstraZeneca, and Roanie Levy, Copyright and AI Advisor for CCC.
The discussion will focus on building responsible and ethical AI governance programs, addressing potential risks, and maximizing trust and value from AI-driven innovations. Patel and Levy will also explore global copyright implications and the rapidly expanding landscape of licensing solutions designed to support various AI use cases.
As AI continues to reshape industries, CCC advocates for responsible AI practices by offering educational programming, thought leadership, and resources through its online hub, AI, Copyright & Licensing.
In 2024, CCC introduced AI rights for internal corporate use under its Annual Copyright License (ACL), providing an efficient way for companies to obtain licensing rights to use copyrighted materials in AI systems. The license allows for the harmonized use of content from a broad range of rightsholders while ensuring they are remunerated for the new use of their materials.
Since its founding in 1978, CCC has supported content users with efficient licensing solutions for internal content use and copyright compliance across various sectors.
