Emerald Publishing has introduced a new academic journal, Sustainable Finance Review (SFR), focused on advancing research in financial strategies related to environmental sustainability and climate resilience. The journal will cover a broad range of topics including renewable energy finance, ESG, financial technology, decarbonization, carbon markets, public-private partnerships, and sustainable finance policy.
Positioned to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SFR aims to address the intersection of finance and sustainability through rigorous scholarship with practical relevance. The publication seeks to connect academic inquiry with actionable insights for both researchers and practitioners in the financial sector. Its editorial structure includes representation from leading figures across academia and industry, reflecting the journal’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
An Editor-in-Chief will lead the journal with prior editorial experience on Review of Accounting and Finance and Journal of Risk Finance, supported by a team of Associate Editors and an Editorial Advisory Board.
SFR will follow a hybrid publishing model, combining institutional subscriptions with Article Processing Charges. In support of its launch, all articles will be available in open access format until 2027. The journal is currently accepting submissions.
