SSP launches mobile app for year-round community engagement -

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) has introduced SSP Engage, a new mobile application designed to facilitate continuous engagement within the scholarly communications community. The app is now available for iOS and Android platforms under the listing “SSP News and Events.”

Developed to extend the functionality of the organization's Annual Meeting app, SSP Engage consolidates society news, event updates, and resources into a single platform. It includes content from The Scholarly Kitchen, registration access for upcoming events, and interactive features aimed at supporting communication among members throughout the year.

The platform offers capabilities such as a community feed for discussion, one-to-one and group messaging, member profiles with integrated contact tools, and direct access to resources including the OnDemand Library, Career Center, and C3 Community. Users can also view Annual Meeting schedules, speaker information, and exhibitor listings within the app, which now replaces Whova as the official event interface.

The initiative was developed to provide SSP members with a consistent point of access to organizational content and networking tools beyond periodic meetings. The application aims to centralize information and simplify communication across SSP’s membership base.
