FACETS appoints Claire Jardine as new Co-Editor-in-Chief -

FACETS, Canada’s only multidisciplinary open access science journal, has appointed Dr. Claire Jardine as co-Editor-in-Chief. She joins Dr. Fanie Pelletier in overseeing the journal’s editorial leadership.

Dr. Jardine is a professor in the Department of Pathobiology at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, and serves as Regional Director of the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative for Ontario and Nunavut. Her work applies a collaborative One Health approach to investigating wildlife health and disease, encompassing both infectious and non-infectious conditions. Her research explores the ecology of multi-host pathogens in wildlife populations, including zoonotic diseases.

In her new role, Dr. Jardine will support the journal’s mission to promote high-quality interdisciplinary research across the natural, biomedical, and physical sciences. Alongside Dr. Pelletier, she will contribute to advancing inclusive scholarship, strengthening knowledge dissemination through open access publishing, and guiding the journal’s strategic direction in response to evolving scientific and societal priorities.
