OCLC's CloudLibrary platform has been integrated with the SOLUS Library App, enabling patrons to discover, borrow, and read ebooks and audiobooks more efficiently through a unified digital experience.
With this integration, users of the SOLUS Library App can now access CloudLibrary holdings without switching apps or interfaces. Key features include real-time availability status, direct borrowing options, unified search across physical and digital collections, and automatic checkout syncing.
The integration is designed to reduce user friction by eliminating unnecessary steps in the digital lending process. It is now available for US, Canada, UK, Australiaand New Zealand libraries that subscribe to CloudLibrary and use the SOLUS App.
This partnership aligns with OCLC’s broader efforts to modernize library services through interoperability, discovery enhancement, and mobile-first experiences. It also supports libraries’ growing shift toward consolidating print and digital resources access in a single patron-facing interface.
