The Digital Theological Library (DTL) has chosen Ex Libris Alma and Primo as their new library management and discovery solutions. The transition marks a strategic step toward enhanced collaboration and customization as DTL’s network of partner institutions expands.
Founded in 2016, DTL serves multiple educational entities through a centralized infrastructure. Alma’s backend system will allow DTL to act as the system’s librarian across all partner institutions, streamlining resource workflows. Meanwhile, Primo will provide user-facing customization, enabling tailored views, links, and branding for each institution in the network.
The selection of Alma and Primo was based in part on their flexibility. Early migration activities have involved planning and engagement with the Ex Libris team.
With the foundational systems, DTL is positioned to leverage Alma and Primo for broader access and improved digital resource management across its member institutions worldwide.
