Canadian Science Publishing’s FACETS journal has broadened its vision and scope to formally include interdisciplinary research integrating the social sciences, recognizing its role in addressing complex challenges in Canada and globally. The journal will continue to follow the scientific method but will also welcome diverse approaches, including Indigenous Traditional Knowledge and integrative methodologies.
To support this expansion, FACETS is recruiting a third Co-Editor-in-Chief with expertise in social science methods and interdisciplinary research. The role will help manage increased submissions and provide strategic direction.
The initiative follows a new partnership with the Royal Society of Canada, aimed at supporting high-quality, cross-disciplinary research. The journal credited its editorial board and Scope Expansion Committee for shaping the updated scope. Submission information is available on the FACETS website.
