UA Little Rock joins MDPI open access program -

The Ottenheimer Library at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has joined MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP), providing researchers with discounted publishing options. MDPI publishes 478 open access journals, including 469 peer-reviewed journals and 9 conference journals across multiple disciplines.

Under the agreement, UA Little Rock researchers who contribute to MDPI publications receive a 10% discount on article processing charges (APCs). Those publishing as corresponding authors are eligible for a 15% discount on standard APCs with billing through the library.

The initiative complements existing institutional support for open access. The university also offers grants of up to $2,000 through its Open Access Publishing Support Fund and provides APC waivers through five read-and-publish agreements with the Association of Computing Machinery, the American Chemical Society, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier ScienceDirect, and Springer Nature.
