The Journal of Applied Sports Sciences (JASS) has transitioned to the ARPHA science publishing platform, adopting its digital publishing infrastructure to enhance accessibility and visibility of research in sports sciences.
Published by the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski” (NSA) in Sofia, Bulgaria, JASS was launched in 2017 to represent a broad range of sports science research. It covers fields including sports and health, physical education, sports management, and physiotherapy, with a focus on interdisciplinary perspectives.
JASS operates under a Diamond Open Access model, allowing authors to publish without article processing charges (APCs) while ensuring free access to readers. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process and publishes continuously, including research outputs, review articles, reports, discussions, studies, and editorial materials. Its complete archive is now available through ARPHA.
ARPHA, a full-cycle publishing solution, provides customizable production workflows and supports diverse publishing models. By integrating JASS into its platform, ARPHA aims to strengthen knowledge dissemination and global visibility for sports science research.
