The EveryLibrary Institute NFP has received a $600,000 general operating support grant from the Mellon Foundation to expand its research, training, and advocacy programs in support of libraries.
The nonprofit organization works to secure funding for public, school, and academic libraries, promote reading and access to information, and support library professionals. The grant will help strengthen its capacity for policy advocacy, professional development, and coalition-building across the library and education sectors.
The Mellon Foundation described the funding as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the arts and humanities. The EveryLibrary Institute said the award reflects the growing recognition of its role in safeguarding library services and strengthening the future of librarianship.
