Seegene, in partnership with Springer Nature, has opened applications for the 2025–2026 Nature Awards MDx Impact Grants, which focus on antibiotic resistance in urinary tract infections (UTI-DR). Applications close on November 20, and awardees will be announced in August 2026.
Now in its third cycle since 2023, the program invites global researchers to submit product development ideas and clinical research projects targeting up to 18 resistance genes linked to urinary tract infections. Successful applicants will receive up to $600,000 in research funding and access to Seegene’s syndromic PCR assays, consumables, instruments, and software to support the development of innovative diagnostics.
The initiative is part of Seegene’s Technology-Sharing Initiative, aimed at broadening access to molecular diagnostics. Previous cycles supported projects on rapid detection of ViruResist Klebsiella pneumoniae and multiplex PCR assays for viral detection in immunocompromised patients.
