SLACK Journals has announced the appointment of Tyler K. Smith as Editor-in-Chief of Pediatric Annals. Dr. Smith is a general academic pediatrician at Children’s Mercy Kansas City and holds academic appointments at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and the University of Kansas.
Her background includes fellowship training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also directs the Academic General Pediatrics Fellowship program at Children’s Mercy.
Pediatric Annals, published for more than 50 years, provides monthly single-topic reviews for clinicians and researchers. The appointment is expected to support the journal’s continued role in advancing pediatric knowledge and clinical practice.
