The STM Integrity Hub, established in 2022 to support publishers in safeguarding the scholarly record, is now screening more than 125,000 papers each month and detecting around 1,000 suspected paper-mill submissions. More than 35 publishers currently participate in the initiative.
The hub combines shared tools, community intelligence, and third-party integrations to identify potential threats, strengthen editorial workflows, and uphold trust in research. Recent additions include JMIR Publications, IMR Press, and Maximum Academic Press, expanding its collaborative base.
Case studies and infographics documenting the hub’s activities have been made available to highlight progress and promote continued engagement across the publishing community.
