The University of Chichester has selected OCLC’s WorldShare Management Services (WMS) to modernize its library operations and expand global research access. The cloud-based platform integrates acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, and discovery capabilities to improve efficiency and enhance the library experience for students and staff.
With a history dating back to 1839, the University of Chichester serves more than 6,000 students across diverse disciplines including education,humanities, social sciences, sport, and creative arts. Ranked among the top 30 UK universities in the Guardian University Guide 2025, the institution selected WMS for its flexibility, integration capabilities, and user-centered design.
The implementation will enable the university to streamline workflows, configure user interfaces for student needs, and strengthen access to international scholarly resources. OCLC welcomed the university to its WMS community, noting that the partnership aligns with its mission to support libraries in advancing learning, teaching, and research.
