Wiley reveals 2025 Advanced Science Young Innovator Award winners for interdisciplinary research -

Wiley has announced eleven recipients of the 2025 Advanced Science Young Innovator Award, selected from 472 applicants across 40 countries. The award is described as one of the most competitive early-career honors in interdisciplinary science and highlights researchers for outstanding and innovative work and exceptional promise as future research leaders.

Now in its second year, it has been characterized as a sought-after recognition among early-career researchers. The program identifies scientists whose interdisciplinary approaches are bridging fields and accelerating progress from laboratory breakthroughs to practical applications across materials science and chemistry, physics and engineering, life and health sciences, earth and environmental sciences, and social sciences.

The award recognizes emerging scientists who demonstrate tangible research impact. Advanced Science is an open access interdisciplinary science journal that publishes fundamental and applied research in materials science, physics, chemistry, medical and life sciences, and engineering. It is part of Wiley’s Advanced Portfolio, a group of journals that disseminate research from established and emerging researchers.

Wiley reported that winners were selected for the originality of their research, demonstrated impact potential, and ability to work across traditional scientific boundaries, with a selection process that evaluated the quality of published work and the trajectory of contributions to solving critical challenges in the listed disciplines.
