The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) announced the launch of Insights in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IBMB), a new gold open access journal covering a broad spectrum of molecular life science research. The publication will cover a wide range of molecular life-science research, emphasizing both fundamental and cross-disciplinary studies.
IBMB will complement ASBMB’s established titles—The Journal of Biological Chemistry, The Journal of Lipid Research, and Molecular & Cellular Proteomics—and will use Elsevier’s Leap submission platform to streamline author and reviewer experiences.
Dr. Benjamin A. Garcia, head of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Washington University School of Medicine, will serve as the inaugural Editor-in-Chief. The new journal broadens ASBMB’s publishing portfolio and contributes to scientific communication and discovery.
