Walailak University has joined MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP), becoming the fourth Thai institution to participate since the launch of MDPI’s Bangkok office.
Through this collaboration, authors affiliated with Walailak University will receive a discount on article processing charges across all MDPI journals. The university will also gain access to MDPI’s online submission system, which provides comprehensive article metadata and pricing details to promote transparency and simplify submissions.
The agreement follows discussions between the MDPI Bangkok office and Walailak University and reinforces MDPI’s commitment to supporting Thai universities with open access publishing services. The partnership is expected to foster future collaboration in academic events, conferences, media initiatives, and recruitment efforts. MDPI has noted that similar benefits are available to other institutions interested in joining the IOAP for a more efficient publishing process.
