Médecine/Sciences received two major honors at the 2025 SPEPS Editorial Awards held in Paris on November 20, 2025. The publishing team at EDP Sciences, together with Inserm, announced that the journal was recognized in two categories in the healthcare discipline. The awards were selected from 180 submitted articles and 44 shortlisted entries. Médecine/Sciences received four nominations overall.
The journal won the Editorial Award for “Éclipse de sciences” by Alain Fischer. It also received the 2025 Grand Prize for “Recrudescence mondiale du choléra : le réchauffement climatique et quoi d'autre ?” by Renaud Piarroux, Martine Piarroux, and Stanislas Rebaudet. This article had also been nominated in the Public Health or Health Economics category. In addition, the journal received a nomination in the Training Article for General Practitioners category for “De la découverte des hormones incrétines aux doubles et triples agonistes GIP/GLP-1/glucagon” by Franck Phan, Romane Bertrand, Chloé Amouyal, and Fabrizio Andreelli.
Agnès Henri, Managing Director at EDP Sciences, attended the ceremony along with Editor-in-Chief Anna Salvetti of Inserm. The recognition follows a long record of distinction for Médecine/Sciences, which has been published by EDP Sciences since 2010 and owned by Inserm. The journal previously received the Grand Prix Éditorial in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2024. The awards were described as a reflection of the work of the entire editorial team and the contributions of authors, reviewers, and editors.
