IOP Publishing signs UK Publishing Inclusion Pledge 2026–28 -

IOP Publishing (IOPP) has signed the UK Publishing Inclusion Pledge 2026–28.

As a signatory to the pledge, IOPP will work toward ensuring fair opportunities and fostering an environment in which individuals are respected, heard, and supported.

The Publishing Inclusion Pledge, led by the Publishers Association, brings together publishers of different sizes and specialties with the aim of driving measurable progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion across the publishing industry.

The pledge reflects a shared responsibility across the sector to support inclusion and recognizes the role of diverse perspectives in strengthening publishing and shaping content that reflects readers and society.

Over the next three years, the Publishing Inclusion Pledge will guide participating organizations in taking evidence-led action, supported by tools, resources, and opportunities to share best practice across the industry.

This shared approach is intended to help publishers address key challenges while continuing progress toward long-term cultural change within the sector.

IOPP has stated that it will work with the Publishers Association and industry peers to support the development of a more inclusive future for publishing.
