The UKSG 49th Annual Conference, taking place March 30 – April 1, 2026, will gather librarians, publishers, content providers, consultants, and intermediaries from around the world for one of the leading events in scholarly communications. The program will focus on critical themes such as Open Access publishing, metadata interoperability, digital preservation, and sustainable research practices, with sessions including Achieving Sustainable Adoption of Open Access for Books, the Diamond Open Scholarly Communication Fund Panel, The Open Access Landscape: Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going?, and Open Access, Open Metadata, Open Archiving. Attendees will also explore innovations in semi-automated workflows, ethical and inclusive research practices through the CREDIT Toolkit, and debates on core tensions in scholarly publishing.
