Purpose-Led Publishing (PLP), a coalition formed by AIP Publishing, the American Physical Society (APS), and IOP Publishing, has announced a network of 23 satellite events worldwide to expand participation in the 2026 American Physical Society Global Physics Summit.
The Summit will take place in March in Denver and is a major international gathering for the physics community. The satellite hubs will be offered both in person and online, allowing researchers to engage in Summit programming, participate in discussions, and attend locally organized workshops and presentations. The satellite model is intended to reduce geographic and financial barriers and allow researchers to engage with Summit content within their own regions.
The satellite events will include livestreamed and recorded Summit sessions, topic-focused discussions, expert-led presentations, and networking opportunities to support broader participation across global research communities.
