The Academic Research Community (ARC) Alliance has launched Environmental Health Advances (EHA), a new Diamond Open Access journal focused on research related to toxicant-induced disease and environmental health.
The journal aims to publish peer-reviewed research across environmental health disciplines, including exposure science, toxicology, environmental epidemiology, and related interdisciplinary fields. It is intended to support research that contributes to improving human health and environmental sustainability.
The editorial team includes representatives from multiple institutions, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Michigan, Boston University, Oregon State University, and Duke University.
The journal is supported in part by the Office of the Provost at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC Press. As a diamond open access journal, it does not charge fees to publish or to access content, supporting wider dissemination of research.
ARC Alliance has also indicated that its earlier journal, ARC Geophysical Research, is currently in its second volume, with additional journals under development.
