O’Reilly has appointed Julie Baron as president, succeeding Laura Baldwin, who will retire after serving as president for 15 years and as an executive since 2001.
Baron has more than 20 years of experience in technology and media and has been with O’Reilly for nearly a decade. Since 2024, she has served as chief product officer, leading the company’s product strategy. Her previous roles include positions at NPR, Boston Globe Media, EnerNOC, and IPSoft/Amelia AI.
The company said the leadership transition takes place as organizations move from AI experimentation to implementation and accountability.
O’Reilly provides a learning platform for technology professionals, offering content across artificial intelligence, programming, cloud technologies, and business skills. The platform includes books, on-demand courses, live events, and interactive learning tools.
