AIP Publishing has announced that the first articles from APL Engineering Physics are now available online, marking the launch of the newest APL-branded journal.
APL Engineering Physics is a gold open access journal focused on interdisciplinary research applying physics principles to engineering challenges and emerging technologies. The journal covers areas including photonics, quantum technologies, nanoscience, advanced materials, robotics, and biomedical devices.
The journal is led by founding Editor-in-Chief Ranjan Singh of the University of Notre Dame and is supported by an international editorial team. The publication expands the APL portfolio by focusing on research where physics principles drive engineering innovation and technological development.
The inaugural issue includes an introductory editorial and a range of research and review articles covering topics such as photonics, quantum technologies, nanoscience, advanced materials, robotics, and biomedical devices.
AIP Publishing said the journal provides a platform for research connecting fundamental physics with engineering applications across scientific and technological fields.
