IGI Global Scientific Publishing has entered into an Open Access Agreement with the University of Rhode Island (URI).
Under the terms of this new partnership, URI faculty members are eligible for a 5% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) when publishing their work through IGI Global’s Open Access Journal Program. This expansive program encompasses nearly 200 peer-reviewed journals across a variety of disciplines, including Business and Management; Science, Technology, and Medicine (STM); and Education and Social Sciences.
By opting to publish Open Access under CC BY licensing, URI researchers can significantly enhance the discoverability, global visibility, and citation impact of their academic work. Furthermore, faculty benefit from having their research featured in journals that are widely indexed in major academic databases, including Scopus and Web of Science.
Addressing the new collaboration, Nick Newcomer, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at IGI Global Scientific Publishing, expressed satisfaction with the URI partnership. He noted that the agreement strongly reinforces their mutual commitment to eliminating traditional barriers to open access and proactively amplifying the visibility and overall impact of scholarly research.
