EBSCO Information Services has introduced Art Source Ultimate, a full‑text database designed to advance research and education in art and architecture. The resource is described as the largest of its kind, offering extensive coverage across disciplines, time periods, and global perspectives.
The database includes more than 970 full‑text journals and magazines spanning fine art, art history, graphic and industrial design, architecture, interior design, decorative arts, photography, sculpture, landscape architecture, and museology. It reflects diverse cultural perspectives and supports analysis of visual culture, design theory, and the social, political, and historical contexts of artistic expression.
According to Dave Mangione, Senior Vice President of Research Databases at EBSCO, the collection is intended to enhance academic research by bringing together a wide range of authoritative sources. He noted that the resource equips students and scholars with content needed to explore complex ideas and support original scholarship.
Art Source Ultimate joins EBSCO’s portfolio of specialized art and architecture databases, expanding access to curated content for academic libraries and researchers worldwide.
