EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has introduced AgeLine with Full Text, a research database focused on adults aged 50 and older. The resource provides coverage of the social, psychological, economic, and health aspects of aging, supporting scholarly research and teaching across multiple disciplines.
The database includes more than 100 journals and magazines addressing topics such as health and wellness, caregiving, retirement, social policy, and age‑related inequality. It is designed to serve libraries as a dedicated resource for aging‑focused research, supporting coursework, faculty scholarship, and evidence‑based practice in fields including gerontology, public health, sociology, and social work.
Content spans a wide range of subjects, including disability studies, lifelong learning, elder law, end‑of‑life care, health policy, human development, nutrition, rehabilitation sciences, and workforce aging.
Dave Mangione, Senior Vice President of Research Databases at EBSCO, stated that libraries play an essential role in supporting research and education on aging‑related topics. He noted that AgeLine with Full Text provides comprehensive access to social gerontology literature, helping inform policy, practice, and academic study.
