Wiley expands IR and Raman spectral library collections with new data additions -

Wiley has announced the release of additional data to its IR and Raman spectral libraries, expanding coverage across compounds such as materials, polymers, minerals, and consumer goods. The update broadens the scope of reference data available to analytical laboratories.

The release includes the first installment of Raman spectra resulting from Wiley’s collaboration with the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), which draws on one of the world’s most significant mineral collections.

Graeme Whitley, senior director of data science solutions at Wiley, noted that researchers rely on reference data to support sound scientific decisions. He emphasized that continuous updates provide scientists with current and reliable libraries, enabling faster workflows and more confident outcomes.

Subscribers to Wiley’s spectral libraries automatically gain access to the new data. These updates are intended to support laboratories in improving analysis, reducing errors, and enhancing productivity.

Guidance for updating KnowItAll databases is available at Wiley’s support site.
