The NISO Plus Global Online 2026 conference will convene stakeholders from across the information community to discuss shared challenges and explore potential solutions. Building on discussions from the February 2026 NISO Plus Baltimore meeting, the online program will focus on emerging technologies and the role of artificial intelligence in scholarly communications. Previous NISO Plus conferences have led to initiatives such as the Communication of Retractions, Removals, and Expressions of Concern Recommended Practice, recognized as a finalist for an SSP EPIC Award, and the formation of a working group on trust markers. The 2026 online meeting aims to continue this tradition of generating ideas that may evolve into future standards projects.
