Frontiers announced that FAIR² Data Management, developed through its AI venture Senscience, has been named a 2026 CODiE Award winner in the category “Best AI Data and Analytics Solution.” The CODiE Awards, now in their 40th year, recognize innovation and impact across technology and education, with winners selected through independent expert evaluation based on functionality, innovation, market influence, and overall value.
FAIR² Data Management was chosen from 228 finalists across 75 categories. The platform addresses challenges in research data reuse by enabling researchers and institutions to transform datasets into trusted, citable resources. A single submission produces peer‑reviewed FAIR² Data Articles and interactive portals, allowing researchers to receive citations for both data and publications. Clara, an AI data steward, supports rigorous curation for non‑specialists, while peer review and FAIR² certification provide credibility increasingly required by funders.
Sean Hill, Co‑founder and CEO of Senscience, emphasized that the recognition reflects the importance of making research data FAIR, reusable, and AI‑ready. He noted that the award acknowledges the collaborative work of Frontiers and Senscience in building infrastructure to support open science and responsible data use.
The CODiE Award highlights how FAIR² Data Management advances open science by making research data easier to find, reuse, and cite, thereby accelerating collaboration and discovery.
