The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) has announced the development of FASEB Cancer, a new scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research across the biological and biomedical fields of cancer science.
The journal will join the FASEB Publications portfolio, which includes The FASEB Journal and FASEB BioAdvances. According to FASEB, the new title will provide an interdisciplinary publishing venue for research that deepens understanding of cancer biology and supports progress in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Tammy Hanna, PhD, Chief Publishing Officer of FASEB, stated that scientific work gains significance when it is shared. She noted that cancer remains one of the most complex challenges in science and emphasized that progress depends on collaboration across disciplines. Hanna explained that FASEB Cancer is intended to serve as a rigorous, interdisciplinary home for cancer research within a federation committed to supporting discovery and researchers.
FASEB has convened an Editor‑in‑Chief Search Committee to identify the founding editorial leader for the journal. The inaugural Editor‑in‑Chief will shape its scientific vision, editorial standards, and scope. FASEB has invited expressions of interest, nominations, and recommendations from leaders in cancer research, translational science, and clinical oncology. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their interest by August 10, 2026.
